Nyesha + Terry | Toronto Wedding

In Weddings by Sheldon

Weddings are fun to shoot with when the couple and Bridal Party are up for anything. Future Brides have no fear, I am not into making you do anything crazy per se, but I do like to make you laugh and have a good time while you are in front of my camera. We will be together for a minimum of 8 hours so we should have fun.

This rolls into the wedding of Nyesha and Terry.  We had an amazing Engagement Session, and I knew the wedding would be we could get a little off the wall on the big day but at the same time, produce photos that show the love and tell the story of their wedding day.

The day started with me going to the hotel to shoot the get ready shots.  The Bride and Groom were a couple of doors away from one another so this was easy, except for the fact that the ladies were a little late coming from make up and hair.  The fellas were on time, as usual (just sayin ladies).  Nyesha, the Bride, got ready, give out and received gifts and there were more laughs than I’d expect from a usually nervous Bride to be.  Nerves of steel must run in her family, Oh yea, I’m her cousin.

The church at the Black Creek Pioneer Village was hot like a sauna as the church was small and not air conditioned. The guests were given fans as the program for the day which was a brilliant idea.  Obviously brains also runs in her family ( just sayin).

The Bridal Party rocked their photo session by flawlessly going from Silly shots to elegant GQ/Vogue poses.  They fought through the heat and long walking as we went from old building to barns to old style postal offices.  Laughing the whole time even on empty stomachs.

Once that part was done, we were greeted by the air conditioned & food filled the limo bus.  Perfect. Then off to the reception hall at Destiny Banquet Hall.  The venue looked amazing and we partied, ate lots, laughed and (some people) cried from speeches.   Not me.  The table me and my 2nd Photographer were seated at was full of jokes.  I didn’t even mind that my own cousin spelled my last name wrong on the seating card! Nope, didn’t bother me at all! Barely even thought about it (just sayin).

I tell you that the dance portion of the night was incredible.  The DJ Kirk Miller from  A Lazy Afternoon had the dance floor jumping.  I felt like I was in a 90’s Club in New York.  People were practically performing on the floor. Good fun.

A great night and I hope my photos tell the story.  This couple met online (shout out to eHarmony) and now bonded forever. Congrats.

SI the ‘Up For Anything At All Within Reason’ Photosapien (just sayin)
